Kadir Bedir is a graduate student researcher at Institute of Transportation Studies. He joined PH&EV Research Center in Fall 2010. His previous research evaluates the green electricity considerations of EV buyers and is funded by BMW North America, LLC. He recently started his dissertation research on “EV-Friendly Electric Utilities Project” which will be funded by the California Energy Commission.
Before coming to UCDavis, Kadir attended higher education research experience (HERE) program at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He studied on several projects related to retrofit electric vehicles, zero-energy houses, design of wheel hub motors, and design of PHEV chargers. He received awards from Fullbright, National Science Foundation, and Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
